Kristen Stewart is headed out On The Road…but not for promo duties. The 20-year-old actress confirmed to USA Today after her taping on Oprah that she’ll be playing Marylou in the film adaption of Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road.” Kristen shared, “I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in On the Road. So that’s a big deal.” The story is a largely autobiographical work that was based on the spontaneous road trips of Kerouac and his friends across mid-century America. Garrett Hedland and Sam Riley also star. Filming is expected to start this summer. Congrats, Kristen! |

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were both spotted on April 27th at the airport in Vancouver. Kristen took off from LAX earlier in the day and headed northward to Canada, with Taylor not far behind. They’re there just a little before Robert Pattinson is due to touch down, as he caught a flight from London. The trio will finish up reshoots for Eclipse while the team behind the whole Twilight series lines up the cast and crew for Breaking Dawn — they’ve just hired Dreamgirls’s Bill Condon to direct the next installment.

Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg, and will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt, and Stephenie Meyer will produce the project. “Bringing Stephenie Meyer’s BREAKING DAWN to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity,” said Erik Feig, President of Production and Acquisitions, for Summit Entertainment. Added author Stephenie Meyer, “I’m so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he’s going to be a great fit, and I’m excited to see what he does with the material.” “I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book – and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience,” said Bill Condon. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions. Condon is well known for writing and directing DREAMGIRLS, KINSEY, and GODS AND MONSTERS, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in 1999. Kristen Stewart was in her usual travel uniform of jeans and a hoodie when spotted going through security at LAX yesterday. With Eclipse director David A. Slade arriving in Vancouver last week ahead of reshoots, it was only a matter of time before Bella and Edward made the trek back to Canada to finish up the film. The third Twilight installment is, of course, one of your 10 most anticipated of the Summer blockbuster season, and we can’t get enough of last week’s sexy still-filled final trailer.

Kristen Stewart stopped to put gas in her car in Beverly Hills between checking out a few houses in the area. She’s finally on a break after promoting The Runaways, though she has yet to take off on that vacation she seemed so excited for. She has a few months before things kick into high gear for the next Twilight extravaganza.
